Shared Services

The Board, the Superintendent of Schools and the Business Administrator, in an effort to control the expenditure of tax dollars, actively seek means to cooperatively make purchases and to provide services. These collaborative arrangements are authorized by the (State) Uniform Shared Services Act. The following are examples of the arrangements established and/or the services which are shared among the local units of government in the region:

North Hanover Township

  • gasoline and diesel fuel purchasing and dispensing
  • technology staff
  • Internet connectivity and use of fiber optic system
  • road salt purchasing and snow plowing
  • Resource Officer
  • field maintenance
  • summer recreation and enrichment

Plumsted Township School District

  • pupil transportation
  • gasoline and diesel fuel purchasing and dispensing

Northern Burlington County Regional School District

  • vehicle maintenance and shared use of mechanic

New Hanover Township School District

  • pupil transportation

Cooperative Purchasing

  • Alliance for Competitive Energy (ACES) for the purchase of natural gas and electricity
  • Burlington County Cooperative Pricing System
  • Middlesex Regional Educational Services Commission
  • NJ School Boards Association Insurance Group for property and casualty insurance
