About Ms. Payne

Mrs PayneMs. Payne has been a public school teacher and administrator in NJ since 1987. She has served as a Superintendent since 2005, and Superintendent in North Hanover Township since 2011.

Active nationally in the military connected schools community, she serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of a Federally Impacted Schools (NAFIS) as the Region One Director, and as the NJ State Chair for Federally Impacted Schools. She also serves on the Executive Board as the secretary and Region one representative for the Military Impacted Schools Association (MISA).She is also a founding member of the Military Connected School Administrator Summit.  Closer to home, she serves on the Government Affairs committee of the NJ Association of School Administrators. 
 
Ms. Payne has presented at several national meetings and conferences on positive engagement strategies to meet the needs of  students and families. She is passionate about brain-based education, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, (STEM), teaching students self management and self-regulation techniques, and the unique needs of military connected students and families.

Ms. Payne lives in nearby Chesterfield, NJ with her high school children Madison and Ian, and their puppy, Winston.
