Mrs. Flood’s passion for working with children with special needs started when she was in high school. She got involved with her high school’s Special Olympics team as an assistant and then opted to give up her gym class to be in a reverse inclusion gym class instead. It was a wonderful experience and it sparked something inside of her that she didn’t know existed. After high school, Mrs. Flood  went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Temple University and her Masters Degree in Advanced Special Education from The College of New Jersey.

She began her career working as a Teacher Assistant for Educational Services Unit in self-contained Autism classrooms with children ranging from ages from 3-7 years old. Once Mrs. Flood earned her teaching license, she went on to work as a preschool teacher in self-contained Autism classrooms for both the School District of Philadelphia and Burlington County Special Services School District. It was at BCSSSD where Mrs. Flood developed a passion for Applied Behavior Analysis because she saw how helpful it was for students with developmental disabilities and behavioral struggles.

Mrs. Flood earned her Board Certification in Behavior Analysis from the University of North Dakota and worked as a Behavior Consultant for Burlington County Special Services School District for 5 years before coming to the North Hanover Township School District in February 2023. When Mrs. Flood initially began working in North Hanover; she started as a Preschool Disabled classroom teacher at CB Lamb before transitioning to her current position of Preschool BCBA for both Endeavour and CB Lamb. Overall, Mrs. Flood has 17 years of experience working with children in a school setting as both a teacher and a BCBA.

In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband and son, attend sporting events, go to the shore, watch her son play baseball, and hang out with friends and family.
