The district's technology efforts over the Summer have concentrated on Chromebooks, Android tablets and PC's. We're steadily increasing and/or upgrading the number of devices available to teachers and students.
While iPad's will continue to be the primary devices of choice in PK-1 classrooms, Chromebooks and Google Apps for Education (GAFE) is the technology of choice for grades 2-6 and teachers. Chromebooks and Android tablets are efficient and effective devices which will return the best value in investment.
A Microsoft/Windows environment is also prevalent in all our classrooms.
Overall, we feel it's not so much the device, operating system, or manufacture as the information that's most important.
